We installed Security Cameras on our campuses to safeguard our students and provide a tool to identify vandalism and or theft.
Over 200 surveillance cameras with infrared detection (night vision) were installed at all of the schools to keep an eye on things day and night.
The cameras are monitored by our campus supervisors and administrators and record 24/7. Surveillance footage at Oak Park High showed five people wearing black hoodies peering into classrooms, and captured a clear image of one person assisting to solve the theft of 17 new computers.
Superintendent Knight, credited the video surveillance system in place at the high school for helping to solve the crime. “The cameras have proven to be not only a deterrent to campus incursions but a valuable tool in monitoring student behavior on campus and allowing us to keep a closer watch on things both during the school day and after hours.”
